This is a modern building (foundation stone laid in 1963). Disabled access to both the church and halls was installed in 2006. The sanctuary can seat 250 people and is fitted with a hearing loop system. Access to the sanctuary is through the Thistle Chapel and we have a central and two side aisles. In 2011, the upright pine pews were replaced with cushioned seats, providing increased comfort for worshipers. We have a modern Allen organ; a Clavinova and a baby grand piano. With it’s good acoustic, the church can be used as a concert or recital venue.
Created at the rear of the sanctuary to provide a smaller worship area and a meeting space. This can be used for small weddings.
The large hall is multi-functional from sports use to drama and musical performance from the stage. In auditorium setting, it will seat 200; Conference style 50 – 60; cafe style 80 (10 tables of 8). There is one badminton court marked on the hard wood floor. The stage has wings and lighting and we have a portable sound system. As yet there is no loop induction in the large hall. There is a piano in the large hall. Full serving hatch to the kitchen is provided. There is a toilet off the stage area and fire exit door.
The lesser hall is suitable for smaller meetings and will comfortably seat 40 – 50 people. It can also be used as a tea room as it has a hatch to the kitchen. It has large windows on the north side, and houses our Bookroom and Fairtrade Cafe every second Saturday morning
This is a large area which was refurbished in 2015 and is well equipped. There is 1 industrial electric oven, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Serving hatches are available to both halls.
There is a disabled toilet on the hall level and male and female rest rooms on the church level. There is also a toilet in the vestibule and in the stage area.
A fire alarm and emergency lighting has been installed throughout the complex. Smoking is not allowed on church premises.
The car park has 4 disabled bays adjacent to the church and hall entrances and marked spaces for a further 20 cars. There is a cross hatched area in front of the entrance to church and disabled ramp to allow access for emergency vehicles.
